Job summary

Stantec is seeking an archaeological technician to join the Cultural Resources team in multiple US locations, including Tallahassee, FL and Atlanta, GA. The role involves field surveys, testing, data recovery, and monitoring on a full-time, temporary, project-based basis with extensive travel.

The position requires physical endurance, valid driver’s license, and experience with surveying tools. Occasional long deployments, per diem, and hotel stays are provided for non-local projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in anthropology/archaeology or related field; field school completed.
• Professional experience in archaeological survey/excavation helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform archaeological fieldwork tasks including surface survey, shovel testing, and excavation.
• Coordinate with field teams and report findings accurately.
