The Travel Advisor is responsible for selling, booking, and managing travel experiences while delivering high-quality service and protecting the agency’s standards, margins, and reputation. Key Responsibilities
- Sales, Booking & Revenue Ownership
- Consult with clients to understand travel needs, preferences, and bdget.
- Research, recommend, and sell travel experiences including flights, hotels, cruises, tours, and pakages.
- Accurately quote pricing, set expectations, and close bokings.
- Follow up consistently on quotes and leads until decisionis made.
- Protect margins by quoting correctly and avoiding rework, underpricing, r errors.
- Build repeat and referral business through strong relashionshipsad trust.
Client Experience & Service Excellence
- Provide clear pre-trip information including itineraries, documentation requirements, an travel tips.
- Support travelers before and during travel by addressing issues such as delays, changes, r disruptions.
- Set realistic expectations and proactively communicate canges or risks.
- Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and calm problem-solvn at all times.
Organization, Systes & Follow-Through
- Maintain accurate and detailed client notes, trip details, an booking history n internal systems.
- Track deadlines, payments, and documentation to avoid missed steps o last-minute issues.
- Ensure all reservations, confirmations, and documents are omplete and accurate.
- Use Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint) and agency systems consistently and correctly.
Professional Standards & Team Collaboration
- Participate in training, supplier education and ongoing development.
- Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Accounting to enure smooth trip execution.
- Follow internal processes, timelines, nd documentation standards.
- Represent the agency professionally with cliet,suppliers, and partners.
Qualifications
- Experience in travel sales, customer service, or a client-facing sales role preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Sales mindset with comfort closing bookings
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsft tools (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint)
- Willingness to follow processes and behld accountable to clea expectations.
