Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Trauma Units (6400 & 6500) in a full-time night-shift role. The unit provides care for a high-acuity patient mix, including traumatic injuries and acute surgical conditions, with opportunities for growth through a Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, family education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associates degree required or higher.
• RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment needs.
• Promotes patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Communicates plans of care effectively across the care continuum.
