Job summary

Resilience, a Chicago-based organization, seeks a Trauma Therapist for part-time engagement. You will provide individual, couples, and family therapy, plus quarterly support groups for sexual assault survivors.

Virtual sessions plus in-person duties at Downtown Loop or Garfield Park locations are possible, with a flexible schedule and required 40-hour training. The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field, 1–2 years of trauma-focused experience, and licensure preferences.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience providing therapeutic services to trauma survivors.
• Licensure preferred (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCPC); LSW considered.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Completion of 40-hour sexual assault training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy.
• Facilitate one eight-to-ten-week support group per quarter for survivors and others.
• Maintain a part-time caseload of ten to twelve clients.
• Conduct intake assessments and determine therapeutic interventions.
• Engage in supervision, team meetings, and collaborative case consultations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with agency standards.
• Engage in community outreach and represent Resilience at events.
• Collaborate with staff across departments for holistic client support.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Integrate creative arts therapy approaches into trauma-informed care.
