Job summary

Safe Horizon Counseling Center in New York is seeking a Trauma Therapist to deliver trauma-focused care to survivors of interpersonal violence. The role blends in-person and remote work, with Saturday onsite hours and a midweek remote session, supporting licensure hours and professional growth.

You will use TF-CBT, Seeking Safety, CPP, ARC and other methods, maintain careful documentation, and participate in ongoing supervision to ensure high-quality care across ages.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in NY.
• Must be able to attend weekly Zoom meetings on Wednesdays 10:00 am–1:00 pm.
• Must be able to work 4 hours onsite every Saturday indefinitely.
• HIPAA-compliant remote work space and equipment required.
• Spanish language ability strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and integrate trauma-informed, client-centered care.
• Provide time-limited, evidence-based trauma-focused treatment to survivors of interpersonal violence.
• Maintain a caseload of 16 clients and 12 billable services per week.
• Document all case activities in audit-ready format per regulations.
• Participate in weekly supervision and treatment planning meetings.
