Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland is seeking an Inpatient Trauma/Trauma & Surgical ICU Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct patient care in collaboration with Trauma Surgery physicians. The role emphasizes trauma care, advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.

You will participate in rounds, implement care plans, and support multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio NP and RN licenses.
• ANCC or AACN national certification.
• DEA registration eligibility.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ATLS certification within 180 days of hire.
• Sterile technique and aseptic practices knowledge.
• Clinical privileges eligibility at MetroHealth System.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Trauma attending physicians and APPs to complete daily rounds in trauma and ICU.
• Interpret labs and imaging to develop assessments and care plans.
• Manage complex postoperative and medically fragile patients across trauma and related specialties.
• Perform bedside procedures for surgical and non-surgical patients.
• Document care plans promptly and coordinate with team.
• Develop disposition plans with multidisciplinary teams.
