Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland seeks an Inpatient Trauma & Trauma/Surgical ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver direct, evidence-based care for critically ill patients in collaboration with Trauma Surgery physicians.

This role involves rounds on trauma floors and ICU, data interpretation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and bedside procedures, with day shifts and potential night coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited master’s degree program for PA, AGACNP, or ACNP.
• National certification through NCCPA, ANCC, or AACN.
• Current BLS and ATLS certifications or obtained within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with trauma attending physicians, residents, and APPs to complete rounds on trauma floors and ICU.
• Collect data and interpret labs/imaging to develop and document care plans.
• Manage complex postoperative and critically ill patients with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform bedside procedures for surgical and non-surgical patients.
• Develop disposition plans with a multidisciplinary team approach.
• Respond to trauma cases in resuscitation bay and stabilize patients per ATLS guidelines.
