MetroHealth in Cleveland, OH seeks a Trauma & Surgical ICU Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver overnight critical care for surgical patients at a Level I Adult Trauma Center. Candidates must hold a master’s degree (PA/AGACNP/ACNP), national certification, Ohio licensure eligibility, and DEA eligibility, with strong night-shift adaptability and critical-care

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in PA or AGACNP/ACNP as required for practice.
• National certification through NCCPA, ANCC, or AACN.
• Licensure: PA license in Ohio; APRN/RN licensure in Ohio; eligibility for DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight management of critically ill surgical patients in the Trauma and Surgical ICU.
• Collaborate with Trauma/Critical Care team to implement individualized plans of care.
• Evaluate evolving clinical concerns and respond to changes in patient condition overnight.
• Perform bedside procedures within APP scope (central venous and arterial access, chest tube management).
• Participate in ventilator and hemodynamic management, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
• Ensure thorough documentation and effective handoffs between night and day teams.
