Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, is seeking a Trauma Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join our multidisciplinary surgical team at our Level II Trauma Center. This role provides perioperative care and first-assist support across specialties.

You will assist in general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, bariatric and other subspecialties, perform intraoperative tasks, participate in rounds and communicate patient progress.

Qualifications

• minimum 2 years’ surgical experience required

Responsibilities

• Serve as first or second assist on surgical cases across multiple specialties
• Perform intraoperative suturing, wound closure and tissue handling
• Participate in surgical rounding, documenting and communicating patient progress
• Work closely with surgeons, residents, nursing staff, anesthesiologists and other team members
• Support quality improvement initiatives and adherence to clinical protocols
• Epic EMR used for charting and documentation
