Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health in Richmond seeks a Registered Nurse for the Trauma Surgery/Progressive Care Unit. This PRN, rotating position supports a fast-paced, high-acuity unit within a Level I Trauma Center.

You will deliver age-appropriate care, assist with complex wound and chest-tube management, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team. Licensure requirements include Virginia RN licensure (or compact) and BLS HCP; Clin II requires 12–24 months RN experience, Clin III

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state.
• Trauma or critical care experience preferred for higher Clin levels.
• BLS/ACLS/HCP certifications expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct age-specific nursing care per medical orders.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor interactions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for treatment plans.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
