Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. seeks a Board-certified PA or NP to provide inpatient trauma coverage in a Level 2 Trauma Center. The assignment is locum tenens, two weeks per month, with 12-hour shifts and a requirement to handle pediatric consultations as needed.

Active WA license/IMLC, DEA, ACLS and ATLS are required. Credentialing typically takes about 90 days; prior pediatric trauma experience is preferred for smoothly managing cases.

Qualifications

• Washington State license or IMLC required.
• DEA license required; board certification required.
• ACLS and ATLS certifications required.
• Must be able to perform and consult on pediatric surgeries.
• Pediatric case load < 20 per month; competency with pediatric cases required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient trauma coverage for two weeks per month.
• 12-hour shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a); must be available for either shift.
• 20 patient encounters per shift.
• May be involved in hemostatic procedures (HMP) or endoscopic appendectomy cases.
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days.
