Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma surgery coverage for emergent cases in hospital settings.
• Perform trauma-related procedures including laparotomies and repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia and OR scheduling; shift mix includes days and nights, including holidays.

This facility is seeking a Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Mix of days. 7a-7p and 7p-7a. Monday - Sunday Holiday Coverage
• Practice Setting: Hospital
• Types of Cases: Trauma Exploratory laparotomies, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, emergent exploratory laparotomies, and hernia repairs. No elective cases, all emergent.
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
• Certifications required: Board Certified, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Licensure required: Must have an active Pennsylvania state medical license
