Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens support in Georgia. The role involves inpatient and outpatient trauma care, with 7 days on/7 days off, and clinic hours 8am–5pm. Call rotates evenings and weekends; credentialing typically takes 60–90 days.

Epic is used for documentation, and Advanced Burn Life Support is required. Certification must be current, with Georgia or Interstate licensure and board certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic surgery coverage as NP/PA in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Work 7 days on / 7 days off with clinic 8am–5pm and on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with trauma teams on splinting, casting, reductions, and injections.

This facility is seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off. Clinic Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. with 1-hour lunch; call 5 p.m.–7 a.m. and weekends on rotation.

Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Types of Cases: Orthopedic trauma; trauma-related cases including splinting, casting, fracture reductions, and injections. No elective procedures.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days; temporary privileges available.

Electronic Medical Record: Epic

Certifications Required: Advanced Burn Life Support; Board Certified required.

Licensure Required: Georgia or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
