Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is recruiting a Trauma Surgery Faculty member to join a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center, affiliated with the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix (UA COM-P), offering a strong academic infrastructure and meaningful scholarly engagement.

Qualifications

• Trauma Surgery fellowship training is required.
• BC or BE in Surgical Critical Care is required.
• Eligible for unrestricted Arizona medical licensure.
• Active publications within the past three years.
• Active professional society membership.
• Demonstrated clinical, scholarly, and teaching ability.
• Interest in research development and leadership.
• Collaborative professional conduct is expected.

Responsibilities

• Emergency, Trauma, and TSICU call coverage (backup call included within shift obligation).
• Elective surgery participation (required).
• ATLS instruction and teaching.
• Minimum 50% attendance at Trauma Executive Committee meetings.
• Mentorship of faculty, fellows, and residents.
• Active research publications and scholarly contributions supporting program verification.
