Job summary

CHI Health, in Omaha, NE, is seeking an Emergency General Surgery (EGS) Director to lead our EGS section within a Level I Trauma-Critical Care Surgery program. This role partners with Creighton University Medical Center to advance clinical, research, and educational missions.

You will guide residents and medical students, collaborate across services, and pursue scholarly activity while participating in a robust academic environment and department leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility with the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
• Active or eligible Nebraska medical license.

Responsibilities

• Lead our Emergency General Surgery section within a Level I Trauma-CCC program.
• Educate residents and medical students in an academic environment.
• Collaborate with the Division of Trauma-Critical Care Surgery and other specialties.
• Engage in research and scholarly activities tied to Common Spirit and Creighton University.
