Job summary

CHI Health Clinic invites applications for the position of Emergency General Surgery Director at Creighton University Medical Center. Lead the Section of Emergency General Surgery within our ACS designated Level I Trauma-Critical Care Surgery program and expand clinical, surgical, research, and educational activities in collaboration with our Department of Surgery & Trauma-Critical Care Surgery.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility with the ACS.
• Active or eligible Nebraska medical license.
• Credentials appropriate for associate professor or professor (clinical scholar or tenure pathway).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proven and substantial leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Educate Creighton University's surgical residents and medical students in an academic environment.
• Conduct research in collaboration with scientists within CommonSpirit and Creighton University School of Medicine.
