Job summary

Creighton University Medical Center and CHI Health seek an Emergency General Surgery Director to lead the Section of Emergency General Surgery within our ACS Level I Trauma-Critical Care Surgery program, advancing clinical, research, and education activities.

You will collaborate with a multispecialty team, educate residents and medical students, and influence organizational trauma care, with relocation support and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or ACS eligibility.
• Active or eligible license in Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Lead our Section of Emergency General Surgery within a Level I Trauma-Critical Care Surgery program.
• Educate Creighton University surgical residents and medical students; conduct research with affiliated institutions.
• Collaborate with the Trauma team and multidisciplinary resources to drive outcomes.
• Oversee three service lines: General Surgery, Trauma, and ICU, with robust resident support.
• Provide night/day APP support and participate in trauma activations; manage call shifts.
• Support relocation and maintain a highly competitive compensation package.
