Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or ACS eligibility.
  • Active Nebraska license or eligibility.
  • Credentials for associate professor or professor rank.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Educate Creighton University's surgical residents and medical students.
  • Conduct research in collaboration with CommonSpirit and Creighton School of Medicine.
  • Lead the Emergency General Surgery section across three service lines.
  • Support night and day trauma/ICU coverage with APPs.
  • Participate in department leadership opportunities based on experience.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary trauma team including ED and anesthesia.
