Job summary

Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon, TN is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Trauma Surgery team. The APP will support pre- and post-operative care and collaborate closely with surgeons in a busy Level 3 trauma service.

The role offers autonomous practice opportunities, ongoing professional growth, and potential operating room time as the service expands. Licensure in Tennessee and trauma/surgical experience are valued, with a rotating schedule and weekend

Qualifications

• TN licensure as NP, PA-C, or RN in Tennessee.
• Experience in trauma or surgical settings preferred.
• Evidence-based practice required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document health history; perform focused exam and plan of care.
• Provide primary, acute, and complex care with a care team.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic data and tests.
• Form differential diagnoses and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe therapeutic interventions within scope of practice.
• Use evidence-based protocols in planning care.
• Initiate referrals and consultations as needed.
• Offer specialty consultations within scope of practice.
• Facilitate patient transitions between care settings.
