Job summary

Orlando Health ORMC in Downtown Orlando seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to collaborate with physicians, manage surgical patients, and participate in care planning. The role focuses on inpatient management, co-management with a surgical team, and patient-centered treatment across the acute setting.

You will assess patients, perform procedures, and support rounds, with opportunities to teach and participate in research.

Qualifications

• MN/MSN/DNP/PhD in nursing required.
• Graduate of accredited physician assistant program.
• APRN license in Florida and national certification required.
• PA licensure in Florida and BLS certification required.
• Two years of specialty experience; five years preferred for APP.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with a physician, provides inpatient management and co-management of surgical patients.
• Assesses physical and psychosocial status; develops diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Surgically close wounds, assist in OR and scrubs with surgeon in operating room.
• Prescribes medications and participates in quality initiatives.
• Participates in rounds, documentation, and multidisciplinary team activities.
• Supports clinical research and maintains timely attendance and compliance.
