Job summary

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Pediatric Surgery team. The APP works with surgeons, residents, and other clinicians to deliver high-quality care across inpatient, trauma, burn, perioperative, and outpatient settings.

This full-time on-site role requires Florida APRN/PA-C licensure and board certification; acute care certification preferred. The care team emphasizes education, quality improvement, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduates must have completed an accredited PA program or MSN/APRN degree.
• Current Florida licensure as APRN or PA-C with board certification (PNCB/NCCPA).
• Maintain active BLS, PALS, ABLS, and ATLS (if possible).
• Acute Care NP/APRN certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient pediatric surgical management and trauma care coordination.
• Perioperative coordination and discharge planning with multidisciplinary team.
• Outpatient pediatric surgery clinic support and administrative duties.
• Assist with NICU rounding, procedures, and documentation.
• Trauma call coverage and operating room assistance as needed.
• Quality improvement, education, and research participation.
