Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives across skilled nursing facilities. You will perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures, manage complex wounds, and work with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

This role offers a no-call, weekday schedule with options for part-time or full-time employment, competitive compensation, and a supportive practice environment designed to reduce burnout while preserving clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background: No prior wound care experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries and post-surgical wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.
