Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking an Acute Care Surgeon in Tucson, AZ, to work as a wound care physician with no-night requirements. The role offers full-time or part-time options, with a competitive salary range and independent contractor structure.

The successful candidate will perform debridement and bedside procedures, manage chronic wounds, and lead care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. Training is provided, and clinical autonomy is emphasized.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No previous wound care experience required; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Apply advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborate with facilities in post-acute care settings to follow patients through healing.
