East in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Trauma Surgeon to join our established surgical critical care trauma team at a Level II Trauma Center. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, teaching, and research, with focus on comprehensive trauma care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Candidates must be Board Certified in General Surgery with Surgical Critical Care Fellowship and current Texas license or eligibility; board-certified/eligible in trauma/surgical critical care with trauma

Competenze

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency.
• Unrestricted and active board certification in General Surgery.
• Surgical Critical Care Fellowship required.
• Board certified/board eligible trauma/surgical critical care surgeon with extensive trauma experience preferred.
• Licensed in the state of Texas or ability to obtain.
• Proven proficiency in performing trauma surgical procedures.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to decide quickly in high-pressure situations.

Mansioni

• Provide comprehensive trauma care from initial assessment and resuscitation to operative and post‑operative management.
• Perform life-saving procedures including emergency laparotomy, thoracotomies and orthopedic interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated care and timely consultations.
• Participate in trauma rounds, case conferences, and teaching activities for residents and students.
• Engage in research, quality improvement initiatives, and protocol development to advance trauma care.
