Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Temple is seeking mid-career Academic Trauma and Acute Care Surgeons to join the Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery in Temple, TX. Candidates must be BC/BE in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and will participate in clinical, academic, and leadership activities.

Responsibilities include trauma consult evaluation, ICU rounding, OR coverage, and resident/medical student teaching.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and board eligible/certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
• Fellowship in Trauma, Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery.
• Texas Medical License and optional ACS Fellowship status.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate trauma and emergency general surgery consults.
• Rounding for STICU and Trauma ACS services.
• OR coverage for trauma, emergency and elective general surgery.
• Teach residents and medical students; instructors for ATLS/ATOM/ASSET.
• Engage in research and PI projects within Acute Care Surgery.
