Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Trauma Stepdown unit in Nashville. The 17-bed unit supports adult patients with traumatic injuries across multiple body systems, including brain injury rehab and acute trauma care.

Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 or 1:4; magnet-designated hospital with strong patient care focus. Requires at least 1 year of RN experience, a nursing degree, and current TN license or compact license.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in a fast-paced unit.
• TN state license or compact license within 60 days of establishing TN address.
• Ability to collaborate across the care team and plan patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates delivery.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Evaluates progress and applies interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes health and a safe environment for patients and families.
