Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or temporary/compact license.
• BLS certification required; critical care credentials may be required based on unit.
• ICU or ER nursing experience preferred, especially in trauma or surgical ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to SICU trauma patients.
• Conduct nursing assessments, exams, education, and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Coordinate discharge and transfer plans within the unit and hospital.
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and quality improvement.
