Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to SICU trauma patients.
• Conduct nursing assessments, exams, education, and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Coordinate discharge and transfer plans within the unit and hospital.
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and quality improvement.

This SICU is a 12 bed unit with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio. \*BSN because of Magnet status \*Previous ICU experience required; may consider several years of ER RN experience \*Every other weekend required Collaborates with the physician and healthcare team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process; provides professional nursing care to patients, including conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records.
