Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred
Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
Certified in Basic Life Support; additional certifications may be required by unit

Responsibilities

Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills inventory and patient needs
Coordinates nursing care with interdisciplinary team; administers clinical decisions
Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards of care
Coordinates treatment plans; develops discharge and transfer plans
Participates in program evaluation and continuous improvement to enhance the patient experience
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies
Serves as preceptor and mentor to less experienced staff
