Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license; Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills: RN I <1 year; RN II = 1-3 years; RN III = 3-10 years; RN IV = 10+ years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and the patient’s age/needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and administers appropriate clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with, directs, and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data, research, and standards.
• Participates in interdisciplinary evaluation and process improvement to reach client-centered outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards and aligns with Memorial Hermann policies and budget constraints.
• Promotes professional growth by meeting continuing education requirements and may serve as preceptor or mentor.
