Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Trauma Registrar to join our multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. You will maintain the trauma registry database, including data collection, coding, scoring and entry, and support incidence and outcomes reporting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2 years of trauma registry experience (preferred), and will pursue CSTR within one year or CAISS per verification requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CSTR within one year of employment for experienced registrars; three years for new registrars is required.
• CAISS Certification or AAAM course preferred for campuses undergoing ACS verification; CAISS certification may be required for designated staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the trauma registry database, including data collection, coding, scoring and entry.
• Perform follow-up for incidence, treatment and outcomes for performance improvement, administrative planning and research.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support programs and research initiatives.
