Job summary

Covenant HealthCare seeks a Trauma Registrar Tier I to collect and enter trauma registry data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. You will support performance improvement by using clinical and financial data to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the program's financial viability.

The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with the Trauma Program and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a health-related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Paramedic license in Michigan preferred.
• Trauma Registry experience preferred.
• Trauma Registrar Certification preferred.
• AIS training or equivalent within 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive listing of trauma patients.
• Abstract chart data for registry data points using ICD-10 CM.
• Enter data accurately into the trauma registry database and ensure backups.
• Data cleaning and validation of registry information.
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports for the trauma program.
• Attend monthly trauma system meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and effective communication with staff, patients and families.
