Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of trauma registry coding experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries required within 2 years of employment.
• Completion of ICD-10 coding program or equivalent experience.
• ICD9-CM/ICD 10-CM coding knowledge.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Responsabilités

• Collect and abstract trauma data into the registry database.
• Maintain confidentiality of registry data.
• Report registry data for performance improvement activities and other internal and external requests.
• Collect and maintain data on continuing education for trauma providers.
