Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Trauma Registrar to collect and abstract data for state and national trauma databases. The role supports verification of Level III trauma center standards and requires precise coding per Official Coding Guidelines.

Responsibilities include data retrieval from EMR and other sources, assigning AIS, and daily data entry into the registry. MS Office skills and trauma registry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical data abstraction and coding concepts.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding guidelines and terminology.
• Ability to work with MS Office tools to manage data and reports.

Responsibilities

• Collect and abstract data for state/national trauma databases.
• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-PCS procedure codes.
• Verify AIS codes per AAAM AIS guidelines.
• Perform daily chart review and data entry into the Trauma Registry.
• Report complications and quality issues to the Trauma PI Coordinator.
