OU Medicine is seeking a Trauma Registrar responsible for analyzing data and ensuring quality care in trauma services. This fully remote position requires a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management and at least one year of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in medical terminology, database management, and report writing, contributing to the effectiveness of the Trauma Registry.

Trauma Program
The Trauma Registrar is responsible for reviewing and analyzing data within the medical record and trauma care reports to ensure comprehensive quality care and identify performance gaps.
This position may be performed remotely from the following locations within the United States of America: Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management required; equivalent education or experience in coding, data abstraction, or emergency room activities may be considered.
Experience: At least one year of trauma registrar experience for fully remote positions.
Licenses/Certifications: Completion or attendance within 2 years of hire of courses such as the American Trauma Society’s Trauma Registrar Course, the Injury Scaling Course by the Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, and ICD-10 Coding Course as per American College of Surgeons standards.
