St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston seeks a trauma registry professional to maintain the hospital Trauma Registry, assign ICD-10 and AIS codes, and submit quarterly to SETRAC/DSHS/NTDB. The role supports trauma program leadership and collaborates with care teams to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.
You will perform daily chart abstraction, compile reports, and assist in regulatory surveys while fostering patient safety and data quality across the trauma services.
Performs functions associated with maintaining the hospital Trauma Registry through data abstraction, data entry assignment of appropriate ICD-10 codes and Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) and electronic data submission to Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Trauma Registry and the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council (SETRAC) Regional Trauma Registry and National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB).
