Job summary

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is seeking a RN Director Trauma Program to lead trauma services and collaborate with the Trauma Medical Director to ensure optimal patient care and compliance with trauma standards.

The role oversees trauma care coordination, performance improvement, and reporting, requiring trauma nursing leadership, Florida RN license, and related certifications. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• CPR/BLS required with 30 days of start date
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of employment start date
• Three years of clinical nursing experience in inpatient critical care or trauma units
• Trauma system management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate management across the continuum of trauma care and develop clinical protocols
• Collaborate with Trauma Medical Director on administrative activities
• Monitor performance improvement activities and support Trauma Quality Management Plan
• Participate in case reviews and ensure adherence to guidelines
• Monitor clinical processes and outcomes related to trauma care
• Develop quality filters, audits, and event resolution actions
• Ensure trauma registry supports planning and reporting requirements
• Provide oversight of the trauma registry and clinical reports for stakeholders
