Job summary

Cottage Health in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse Coordinator to support the Trauma Services Department. You will coordinate and facilitate performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes.

Reporting to the Trauma Program Manager, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, consultants and the trauma team to assure quality patient outcomes across the continuum of care and help ensure compliance with trauma

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in California; ACLS and BLS required; PALS or ENPC required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, consultants and multidisciplinary trauma team members to assure quality patient outcomes across the continuum of care.

Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse Coordinator

Job Description

We're currently in need of a Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse Coordinator to support the Trauma Services Department. Will be responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes.

The Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, under the supervision of the Trauma Program Manager (TPM), provides coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes. The Trauma PI Coordinator will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, consultants and multidisciplinary trauma team members to assure quality patient outcomes across the continuum of care as well as collaborates closely with Trauma Program leadership to assure compliance with Trauma standards and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Level of Education

• AA Degree in Nursing

Preferred:

• BSN

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Minimum:

• Current Registered Nurse in California American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified. American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) certified. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred:

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) certified.

Technical Requirements

Minimum:

• Clinical expertise in the practice of trauma nursing.

Years of Related Work Experience

Minimum:

• 2 years of experience in trauma nursing, including experience in quality assurance.

Preferred:

• 5 years of experience in trauma nursing, teaching, and quality assurance.

*Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
