Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Trauma Performance Improvement professional to coordinate and facilitate the trauma-related patient safety processes across the facility. The role interfaces with multiple departments to ensure adherence to state and ACS standards and reports to the Trauma Program Manager/Director.

The candidate should have five years of clinical ER or critical care trauma experience, knowledge of DSHS/ACS requirements, and strong data reporting and chart abstraction skills

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Masters Degree preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse, TOPIC Course completion within 12 months from date of hire.
• Five (5) years clinical experience in either emergency department or a critical care area within a trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Trauma Performance Improvement subject matter expert and provides consultation to hospital leadership.
• Coordinates the Trauma Performance Improvement Program at the facility level including data collection, analysis, and instruction.
• Reviews Performance Improvement indicators and documentation for accuracy as specified by DSHS or ACS.
• Collects and analyzes benchmarking data and clinical indicators.
• Provides education and reports outcomes for continuous improvement in the trauma program.
• Promotes professional growth and serves as a preceptor for staff.
