Job summary

Banner Health invites applications for the New Nurse Experience Program on the Trauma PCU unit, Mesa, AZ. This full-time RN residency helps new graduates transition to competent professionals through clinical mentorship, state-of-the-art simulation, and structured competencies.

Successful candidates will join a 12-month unit-based experience, with day/night shifts and weekend rotations, aimed at developing advanced nursing skills and professional growth within Banner Health.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS required; certification obtained before start date or during orientation.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred; inpatient experience desirable.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable at select Banner Health locations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan individualized nursing care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team for patient-centered care.
• Document care plans, assessments and patient responses in Cerner EMR.
• Mentor/mentor arrangements for new graduate nurses and participate in training.
