Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an RN for a 20-bed Trauma PCU on the Evening/Night shift. The RN provides professional nursing care across all ages, collaborating with the care team to deliver safe, high‑quality outcomes in a dynamic trauma unit.

The successful candidate will hold a State Board of Nursing approved degree, a Virginia RN license (or eligibility), and BLS‑HCP. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by area, with strong EMR skills expected.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
  • Current Virginia RN license or eligibility.
  • AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
  • ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing care to patients across all ages.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care with the healthcare team.
  • Administers treatments and medications and documents care in EMR.
  • Educates patients and families and addresses education needs.
  • Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
