Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an RN for the Cardiac / Vascular Post-Surgery PCU. The role primarily covers evening and night shifts with weekend rotation.

A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available. You will provide professional nursing care across age groups, coordinate care with the healthcare team, document in EMR, and participate in performance improvement, education, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
• Keyboarding skills and computer literacy including use of electronic medical records.
• For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.
• Administer treatments and medications and document care in electronic medical records.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives and support education activities within the department.
