Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an RN I - Trauma ICU to join a 12-bed unit dedicated to trauma and neuro/general surgery patients. This full-time night-shift role focuses on comprehensive nursing care across all ages, from assessment to evaluation, in a fast-paced ICU setting.

The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team, document in EMR, and support quality initiatives while maintaining patient advocacy and education.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Supports orientation and training of new employees.
