Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks a Trauma Advanced Practitioner to join our trauma team. The role provides nursing/medical services, collaborates with Trauma Physicians, and leads the APP team while aligning with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities include clinical oversight, mentoring staff, coordinating orientation and credentialing processes, and participating in regional professional associations to develop leadership and clinical skills.

Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure in Nebraska or compact state.
  • MSN with NP licensure or PA degree with PA licensure preferred.
  • DEA prescriptive authority within 2 months of hire.
  • Trauma experience required, leadership preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS and ATLS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Commits to mission and demonstrates core values.
  • Practices Trauma Advanced Practitioner functions.
  • Provides clinical oversight of APP team with mentoring.
  • Acts as liaison between APPs and Trauma leadership.
  • Assists with special projects and professional development.
  • Leads training, credentialing reviews and orientation.
  • Participates in trauma associations to develop skills.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for patient care.
