Job summary

MedStar Health's Trauma Service at MedStar Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Lead Advanced Practice Provider to coordinate daily operations, lead the APP group, and support high-acuity trauma care. You will mentor APPs, manage scheduling and staffing, and collaborate with trauma surgeons, nursing, and leadership to elevate clinical quality.

The role maintains an active clinical practice, develops treatment plans for acute trauma patients, and drives process improvements within the trauma

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies required or preferred.
• Current MD/NP/PA licensure and national certification.
• Minimum 3-5 years APP experience with trauma/critical care or surgical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduling, workload distribution, and staffing for the trauma APP group.
• Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to APPs; educate and coach for performance growth.
• Serve as liaison between APPs, trauma surgeons, nursing, and hospital leadership to ensure seamless care.
