Job summary

JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Trauma Nurse Clinician for night shifts to deliver high-quality trauma care. The role coordinates patient care with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, provides education to patients and families, and supports efficient resource use in the Trauma Center.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, have 3+ years in ED/ICU trauma, and maintain BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and other required certifications with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Must have practiced as an RN for 3 plus years in an Emergency Department or Critical Care Area, including trauma.
• Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for Texas or reciprocity.
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC Provider, PALS/ENPC, ATCN Provider within 1 year.
• Professional certification (CEN, CCRN, TCRN or similar) within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and care teams to deliver multidisciplinary trauma care.
• Delivers nursing care to assigned trauma patients including education and discharge planning.
• Monitors patient conditions, documents changes, and adjusts care as needed.
• Coordinates patient transfers and adheres to EMTALA regulations as applicable.
• Performs rounds and provides patient/family education on care progression and outcomes.
