Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Florence, SC, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Trauma Medical-Surgical unit. You will work with the care team, following established nursing models, and advocate for patients and families to ensure an outstanding experience and positive outcomes.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing or an RN Diploma, with a Bachelor's preferred, and current state license.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• < 1 year applicable experience.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by providers, with thorough documentation of care.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and manage adverse events.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up; translate medical terminology as needed.
