Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Medical-Surgical Trauma unit in Texas. The CNC will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, directing nursing services during shifts and collaborating with the management team to maintain exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications include a Texas RN license (or compact state), BSN/MSN, BCLS/ACLS, and at least two years of med-surg experience. Management experience and national certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN degree required.
• RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
• BCLS and ACLS required (6 month grace period).
• Two years clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Preferred: national certification.
• Preferred: 1 year of management experience.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement, including hourly rounds and staff rounding.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
• Recommends actions on training, development, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations.
• Assists with staff scheduling and aligns labor with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Manages inventory and assists with supplies and equipment control.
