Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required.
• RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
• BCLS/ACLS (6 month grace period).

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement, including hourly rounds and staff rounding.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
• Recommends and implements actions related to training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management per patient care needs.
• Manages inventory and supplies to support nursing operations.
