Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Trauma Med Surg to influence patient care through collaborative leadership and involvement in nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and advance the nursing profession.

Responsibilities include admission/discharge coordination, quality assessment, staff scheduling, and collaboration with managers to drive teamwork and improved outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida (or compact license with Florida within 60 days).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• No travel required.
• Nursing degree as stated above.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes for throughput and quality care.
• Monitor and assess quality of patient care in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to improve outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Help implement nursing strategies and staff engagement initiatives.
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, training, and staff development.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor alignment with care needs.
• Support inventory control and equipment management.
